A wheel spacer keeps your 2011-2016 Ford F250 & F350's factory bolt pattern and pushes the wheel outward for a wider track — more stance, and clearance for larger tires, wheels, or brakes. Spacers and adapters are often confused. A wheel adapter changes the bolt pattern — it lets your F250 & F350 run wheels with a different lug pattern than the hub (and adds width like a spacer). Thread pitch is a separate question: a bolt-on spacer or adapter must use studs and lug nuts that match your vehicle's thread pitch, and if they differ the fix is the correct lug nuts, not an adapter. Never force a mismatched thread.
